Saphir Décapant is a strong leather stripping agent from the Beauté du Cuir line designed to remove existing dye, finish, or heavy product buildup from smooth leather.
It is most commonly used prior to recoloring, allowing new dye to adhere evenly and effectively. Because of its strength, it should be used carefully and only when a full reset of the leather surface is required.
Best used for
- Removing old dye or finish
- Preparing leather for recoloring
- Restoration and correction work
How to use
Apply with a cloth in small sections, working evenly across the leather. Allow the leather to dry fully before proceeding with dye or conditioning. Always test in an inconspicuous area first.

Shipping Timeline (not labeled DS): Within 1-3 business days the product ships. During "Sale" periods we aim to ship between 2 -4 days after the time of purchase as the increase in orders affects our ability to be any quicker. UPS ground service takes 2-7 business days to arrive from shipping date.
Saphir Products Labeled 'DS': If your cart has a Saphir product that has 'DS' in the color title, your cart will have two shipments. These products will ship directly from the US Saphir Distributor to you. They use USPS. They will ship within 2-4 business days and USPS ground takes between 2-7 days to arrive. Tracking will be provided.

Returnable/Exchangeable? Yes. Saphir products are eligible for exchange/return providing their return guidelines are met. You must notify us at info@theshoesnob.com within 7 days receipt of your goods if you intend to return/exchange. You have 28 days to return the goods. All returned products must be in their original condition and unused. Should you send a product that has been used, its return will be rejected and you will have to pay shipping to get it back. It must be returned in its original packaging to be eligible for a refund.
Return items damaged in transit due to poor return packaging may be returned to you at your expense or disposed of without refund.
Damaged/Missing/Incorrect Items: Should your parcel arrive with damaged, missing or incorrect items, please contact us within 48 hrs of receiving your goods. Please provide photos of the error in question. Further photos may be required. Should we come to understand blame was on our end, we will aim to get out your new products within 1-3 business days.
