For a small mark on otherwise clean suede, start with a targeted clean. The Saphir Médaille d’Or Gommadin eraser works directly on surface dirt and marks, without having to wet the whole shoe.
Its textured rubber helps lift the nap and loosen dirt caught in the surface. It is useful on suede and nubuck shoes, as well as bags and other items made from these materials.
Use it for localized cleaning before deciding whether the leather needs a more thorough wash. Work gradually rather than scrubbing one spot aggressively.
Best used for
- Surface marks on suede and nubuck
- Small areas that need attention between full cleans
- Lifting flattened nap during dry cleaning
How to use
Test gently on an inconspicuous area first. Rub the mark with moderate pressure, checking the surface as you go. Brush away the eraser residue with a suitable suede brush.
If the mark remains, assess whether a dedicated suede cleaner is needed rather than continuing to rub the same area.

Shipping Timeline (not labeled DS): Within 1-3 business days the product ships. During "Sale" periods we aim to ship between 2 -4 days after the time of purchase as the increase in orders affects our ability to be any quicker. UPS ground service takes 2-7 business days to arrive from shipping date.
Saphir Products Labeled 'DS': If your cart has a Saphir product that has 'DS' in the color title, your cart will have two shipments. These products will ship directly from the US Saphir Distributor to you. They use USPS. They will ship within 2-4 business days and USPS ground takes between 2-7 days to arrive. Tracking will be provided.

Returnable/Exchangeable? Yes. Saphir products are eligible for exchange/return providing their return guidelines are met. You must notify us at info@theshoesnob.com within 7 days receipt of your goods if you intend to return/exchange. You have 28 days to return the goods. All returned products must be in their original condition and unused. Should you send a product that has been used, its return will be rejected and you will have to pay shipping to get it back. It must be returned in its original packaging to be eligible for a refund.
Return items damaged in transit due to poor return packaging may be returned to you at your expense or disposed of without refund.
Damaged/Missing/Incorrect Items: Should your parcel arrive with damaged, missing or incorrect items, please contact us within 48 hrs of receiving your goods. Please provide photos of the error in question. Further photos may be required. Should we come to understand blame was on our end, we will aim to get out your new products within 1-3 business days.
