The Romanoff is a wholecut Oxford defined by its pared-back upper and sharply styled soft-chisel toe. Using a single main piece of leather creates an elegant surface with minimal interruption, allowing the silhouette to take precedence over decorative details.

Hand-welted construction and a narrow waist add traditional shoemaking interest beneath the minimalist exterior. The result is a distinctly dress-oriented shoe with a modern, composed look.

Black patent leather makes the Romanoff a distinctly evening-oriented wholecut. The reflective finish magnifies every clean line of its plain upper, and the soft-chisel toe lends it a modern formal edge. It is most convincing with a tuxedo or similarly dressy evening clothing.
