Its upper is cut from a single piece of leather without the usual heel seam, an unusually demanding exercise in pattern cutting and lasting. Decorative brogue details are then applied to that uninterrupted surface, giving the design the appearance of a more traditionally pieced shoe.

That tension between intricate ornament and genuinely seamless construction is what makes this model so compelling, especially at its price point. The hand-welted sole and shaped waist provide additional shoemaking interest beneath the distinctive upper.

Chestnut museum calf puts this Constello X firmly in the spotlight. The mottled leather finish creates movement around its faux brogue detailing, emphasizing that these familiar-looking lines are applied to a seamless wholecut upper.
