This J.FitzPatrick Butterfly loafer is made in black calf with a clean apron-front design and strap detail across the vamp. It is one of those pairs that does not need to shout: simple, sharp, and far more useful than people sometimes give a black loafer credit for.
The shape keeps it dressy enough for tailoring, but still easy enough to wear more casually if you like loafers with a bit of polish. A quiet pair, but a good one — and probably the kind that gets worn more often than the louder shoes in the closet.

'Second' Reason: One Butterfly strap is upside down. Leather is dry.

As a standard rule for J.FitzPatrick loafers, they are cut them more snugly compared to their laced shoes in the same size.
For the butterfly loafer, on the TMG Last, we recommend that most gentlemen stick with the same size as their laced shoes. The exception is if you wear your laced shoes without room to spare, in which case we recommend you take a half size up. If you have a low instep, we recommend you size down as this has a low-cut vamp.
