About Bridlen Shoes

Bridlen started in 1986, as a brand that was mainly created to serve the Japanese market. This market consisted of a dense population of shoe connoisseurs. Japanese business culture strongly adheres to a classic look of suits and dress shoes. It has always been a ripe market for any shoe brand, but a well-protected one. Bridlen shoes stayed a relatively unheard-of brand in the Western world until one of the founding partners passed away in 2019. A new set of leaders then stepped up to the plate. These leaders had the vision to expand the brand on a worldwide level. And they have done just that.

Sizing & Fit Advice

Bridlen’s lasts tend to fit true to standard UK sizing, with a slightly generous forefoot on select lasts and a very hugging heel/mid foot region. For the majority of their shoes, you will select your 'common' size.

As with most welted shoes, expect a short break-in period; once the cork mid-layer conforms to your foot, comfort improves dramatically.
